Biography

Dr. Javier Raya holds a degree in Organic Chemistry from the Autonomous University of Barcelona, where he also completed his PhD in the field of organic synthesis of natural products.

He has over 20 years of experience in the coatings sector, working in research, development, and production. His main areas of expertise include dispersants and rheology modifiers, as well as various surfactants and new eco-friendly solvents.

In 2010, he started in a technical sales position for Iberia in the newly established formulation additives business unit at BASF. Over the past 15 years, his work has focused on the promotion and advisory of BASF’s formulation additives portfolio across various sectors, including paints and coatings, printing inks, adhesives, construction, and composites.
