Bio-based coating raw materials have been used for a long time and were important pioneers for the success of petrochemicals. More and more bio-based products are being offered. In the interests of climate protection, it must be ensured that bio-based alternatives actually reduce the carbon footprint.
With the EU Deforestation Regulation EU 2023/1115, the European Union aims to limit global deforestation caused by the European consumption of beef, cocoa, coffee, soya and palm oil. What impact does this regulation have on CO2 emissions? In the presentation “Bio-based raw materials – it all depends on the origin”, Dr René Manski will delve deeper into the topic and explain which bio-based, deforestation-free products HOBUM offers for the paint and coatings industry.
