Biography

Teresa Echave, Master’s in Chemical Engineering and ASTC (Associate in the Technology of Surface Coatings from SCAA Inc. of Australia. Postgraduate in Colour Technology for Polymers, RMIT (Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology). Teresa is a Chemical Engineer specialist in Surface Coatings Technologies with over 25 years of international experience.

Since graduation had worked for 4 major multinational Paint and Ink companies such as: PPG Industries (formerly Barloworld Coatings), Syensqo (formerly Solvay, then Rhodia Asia Pacific ) Solenis Hispania, DIC Corporation.

When joined Syensqo held local, regional and global Technical Management roles in different business units where had managed international projects and two Technology transfers across Australia, Singapore, China and New Zealand. In addition to her participation in product, she also has expertise in launching promotions and imparting innovative technical papers on “open time extenders, Nanolatex coating, Water-repellent emulsions, Defoamers – Commodities or Specialties” among others.

Back in 2023, joined Concentrol SA as MChemical Eng. Technical Manager, Additives, where she is designing, developing, processing, technical sales and marketing of Paint additives with focus in Foam Control, she is developing Defoamers under the name of : CONCENTROL FOAM XTract® series, aligning them to the current challenging ECO trend and compliance to the ESG.

Among the new FOAM XTract® products, a range of defoamers has been successfully developed and is now being launched, with the following key feature:

FOAM XTract ®Silicone, Mineral oil, APEO free, low to zero VOC for industrial, architectural paints and flexographic and gravure inks market.
