Biography

Thomas Lys obtained in 2004 a PhD in Polymer Chemistry from Lyon University and joined the AkzoNobel Building & Construction division, based in Switzerland, in 2004.

After 13 years at AkzoNobel through various positions including R&D, Marketing, Technical Support and Global Key Account Manager, he joined Omya International AG in 2018 as Director Technical Services Construction. One of his main objectives is to develop new and innovative mineral specialties based on Calcium Carbonate for Paints & Coatings.
